Schubert Foundation song recital

Elisa Maayeshi and Pieter Bogaert will give a recital for the Schubert Foundation. For this concert, Elisa and Pieter chose a number of themes that were dear to Schubert and later composers. They deal with loneliness, nature, the night, stories and of course love. In this recital some of Schubert's most famous songs will be connected to French works of later date, thus building a bridge between Vienna and France. For example, you will listen to the famous Schubert song Der Wanderer an den Mond and hear how Debussy sings about the moon. Or how Schubert tells the love story about Ganymede in Ganymed and Ravel takes you into Eastern spheres with the tale of Sheherazade.
